My stay at the Pera Palace Hotel was a good journey into its rich history, complemented by elegant decor and excellent service from the staff. While the grandeur of the hotel transported me to another time, I did face some challenges with noise disturbances during the night which slightly marred the experience. Overall, I had a nice stay, and the combination of the hotel’s storied past and its comfortable accommodations makes it worth a visit.

I stayed in the Greta Garbo room, which was beautifully appointed and had a luxurious feel. The private balcony offered stunning views, and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. However, I did notice some maintenance issues like a moldy smell in the shower that detracted from the otherwise high standard I'm used to.
Service
9.0
The service was generally really good, with staff going out of their way to assist. Levent, the night manager, truly stood out with his generous hospitality when I needed assistance late at night. However, I did encounter slightly rude service during check-in, which was surprising for such a prestigious hotel.
Location

The hotel's location in Beyoğlu is fantastic, making it easy to explore Istanbul's vibrant neighborhoods and historical sites. I enjoyed walking around the area, but I was bothered by the loud music from a nearby nightclub that made it hard to sleep at night, especially on weekends.
Dining
7.0
The afternoon tea was a lovely experience, with delicious pastries that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, I found the breakfast options lacking and the dining area often too crowded, making it hard to find a table.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered a great variety of facilities, from room service to a luxurious spa. I appreciated the ability to order room service at all hours, but I felt the menu could use more options. The historical tours provided were a unique touch, adding to the overall appeal.

I had an overall good stay at the Pera Palace Hotel, enjoying its rich history and prime location. The views from my room were stunning, but the bathroom could really use an update. The staff was friendly and helpful, though I did experience some hiccups with service during breakfast. Overall, it's a unique experience, and I'd recommend it for anyone wanting a taste of Istanbul's historic charm.

Rooms

I stayed in the Pierre Loti Suite, which was spacious and maintained an elegant touch of old-world luxury. However, I felt the bathrooms need a bit of renovation to match the charm of the rest of the hotel.
Service

The staff at Pera Palace were truly really good, going out of their way to help me out, especially when I needed assistance with my daughter's flu. They were friendly and professional, but I did notice that breakfast service was a bit slow and could be improved.
Location

The hotel’s location is fantastic, sitting atop a hill with views of the Golden Horn, and within walking distance to Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. It made exploring the vibrant areas of Istanbul super easy for me.
Dining

While the breakfast at Agatha’s was very nice, I found the service there to be a bit lacking. The culinary offerings elsewhere were good, but as a five-star hotel, I expected a bit more. I really enjoyed the afternoon tea, though.
Facilities

The hotel has a unique historical charm, especially with its original elevator and elegant decor. However, I was disappointed that the terrace was closed during my stay, as I was hoping to enjoy a meal there.

My stay at the Pera Palace Hotel was a blend of elegance and nostalgia, steeped in history. The luxurious ambiance is captivating; however, the noise from nearby events was a bit of a drawback. The staff's service varied, with some moments of warmth overshadowed by instances of indifference. Overall, it was a amazing experience, but there are areas for improvement. 🌟

I had a lovely stay at the Pera Palace Hotel, which is steeped in history and charm. The location is perfect for exploring Istanbul, and the staff went above and beyond to make my experience nice. However, I found the dining options a bit underwhelming and repetitive, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.

While the afternoon tea experience was good, the options for breakfast and dinner felt average and somewhat repetitive. It didn't quite meet the high expectations I had for such an elegant venue.

However, I did encounter some inconsistencies with room amenities and the breakfast offerings, which could use improvement.

Overall, the service was perfect with friendly and professional staff, though I did experience some lapses, such as delayed requests for hand towels and an iron.
Location

The hotel's location is fantastic, nestled in the vibrant Pera district with easy access to famous attractions like the Galata Tower. However, a bit more guidance on nearby destinations would be beneficial.
